Ashley Heien works for a general contractor in the construction industry. She was able to get a job in the safety department because of the experience gained in the Master of Science in Occupational Safety (MSOS) program. The MSOS program has given her a solid background with applied safety management and understanding regulatory and technical aspects as a safety professional. There are plenty of opportunities to develop technical skills as well as critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Consistent presentation development also allowed her to build confidence to become a better speaker. The program is a catalyst for career opportunities and development. After graduation, she plans to continue working in a safety or risk management field in the construction industry.
